West River Studio

I’m Paul Stuber, the artist behind West River Studio. I’m located in NW Ohio, United States, living alongside the Maumee River, on West River Road, near Grand Rapids.

I view glass and mirrors not just as materials, but as a way to manipulate atmosphere. While traditional design often relies on rigid, predictable patterns, my work explores the beauty of unconventional silhouettes. I focus on hand-cut, flowing edges and unique layouts that challenge the standard mirror’s "box". By breaking these rules, I create pieces that feel less like static decor and more like architectural accents. 

These mirrors serve a dual purpose: they provide a functional surface of self expression, while acting as light-refracting sculptures. My goal is to transform a simple reflection into a shared experience of depth and brilliance.
